About Me
Hello! I am a Mass Communication and Studio Arts double major and Music minor from Linfield College. I've had a very busy four years preparing myself for the world. Focusing mostly in journalism and media practices, I have honed these skills towards my passion: creativity.
In my spare time, I like to write about hard rock and heavy metal music for my blog. I don't focus on just the music; I explore the subculture of the world's loudest genre. While I enjoy independent work like this, I can prosper in a busy schedule and in collaboration with others. I am highly motivated, organized and outgoing and have a need to make impactful contributions to my community.
Work Experience
2014 - Today
As an Administrative Coordinator Assistant, I learned efficient and priceless organizing skills through helping to maintain the Arts and Theater and Visual Communication departments' budget books and syllabi. I also assisted with special events and projects as needed.
Summer 2017
I was an Intern at the WALLOW Gallery in Carlton, OR, where I helped teach teen and adult art classes and provide customer service. I also took on the large project of curating the fall 2017 exhibit and managed the reception.
2016 - 2017
I had a wonderful opportunity to be a staff writer for Headbanger Heaven. Unfortunately, the website's owner fell sick and was no longer able to physically maintain the website. The website was taken down a few months after I received the news.
